“Sylvia Szot is a talented landscape designer who also has a BSc in botany. That was the perfect combination for our needs.  The design Sylvia came up with for our front yard patio/garden was visually stunning but when coupled with her scientific knowledge, the already stunning design became practical in ways that we could never have imagined. The space is small and had water issues. Sylvia’s plan included a variety of trees and plants indigenous to our geographical area but also hardy in the face of the toxins released by a number of nearby black walnut trees.  She also included a “French drain” that ended our overflow issues—but we could never have known this was a solution. Sylvia was also very responsive to our questions and our preferences and tweaked her design accordingly.  Since the yard has flowered she stays in touch and offers advice. We now have a little bit of paradise right outside our door.  Brava!”
