Garden Assessment Consultation I will provide input on the condition of your soil and the health of existing plants and can help you decide what to keep and what to replace as we walk through your garden. Ask me all your gardening questions and together we will determine how to make improvements if required. This is a perfect consultation for people who want to learn more about horticulture and hope to become active participants in the care of their plants. Consultation fee $250.

Planting Plan If you like the shape of your existing garden but need a spruce up, then a planting plan is for you. I will evaluate existing plant material and suggest what to keep and what to replace. You will receive a hand drawn sketch, plant list and one photo rendering. Starting at $350 for a small garden.

Conceptual Garden Design When your yard is a blank slate and you need suggestions for the location of gardens, pathways and patios, but do not require the detail of a master plan. You will receive a garden sketch, photo rendering and plant list for the proposed design. These sketches are not to scale but provide an excellent resource for DIY or contractor installation and start at $500 for a small front or backyard. If more time is required it can be decided upon in advance and the fee adjusted accordingly.

Master Plans involve multiple meetings with the homeowner to develop a concept and refine a design. In addition to a planting plan they can include hardscape elements like patios, decks, fire pits, pergolas, cabanas and accessory items like outdoor furniture and kitchen equipment. The project progresses in consultation with the homeowner over a longer period of time, averaging 6 weeks from start to finish.

The starting price for a small front or backyard is $1200. You will receive a preliminary concept sketch, two photo renderings and a mood board to help you visualize proposed design elements. Once finalized, you will receive a scale drawing of your space with a plant list.
